FAQ > 3) FastTrack / Interactive Processes > Why have two processes and prices?
Why have two processes and prices?
Short answer: The two processes and pricepoints gives you more options. If you're a member of a big company with a big budget and complex needs and requests, the Interactive process is likely a good fit. If you have a smaller budget, or you just don't care to slow-walk the production in order to have more control, but you still want a world-class video, then the FastTrack suits you perfectly.
Long answer:
Two prices: In truth, time is money for a production studio. Most SunPop clients love the very first version of the video we show them, sometimes they'll ask for just one or two tweaks, and we'll hit the final version with our first swing at bat or just a couple hours afterwards. But sometimes a client may love the content of the video but they want to polish this element here, try something new there, and we'll often wait for days between getting feedback or directions. That last point is huge. As long as a project remains open, we're not running the studio on all 6 cylinders because we're having to leave empty room on the table in case you get back to us today with your feedback, or tomorrow, etc. Drawing out the production timeline after the first draft fundamentally alters our efficiency, workflow, and subsequently the profit margins.
which leads to the two processes...
Two processes: We want to meet clients where they're already at. Having the FastTrack and the Interactive processes to choose from means that you get a production that fits your own specific priorities and needs. You might not want to spend a lot of time micromanaging a production, you already have enough on your plate and don't want to worry about a video, you just want a fantastic product that's affordable, easy, and fast. Hence the FastTrack. Others may not care so much about budget and turnaround time, instead they'll only feel comfortable moving forward with a production when they know that everybody will keep working on it until it's exactly right, that we reached the destination slowly and deliberately. If you're into perfectionism and refinements over a longer process, or if you know that you're part of a big organization with lots of peripheral involvement that can't keep up with the FastTrack pace, then we made the Interactive just for you...
(Also, if you need to have more than one person in your unscripted video and you're willing to pay for each additional person, that's immediately making the production exponentially more complex in the editing-room floor, and so we need to switch to the Interactive process and price to facilitate that)
