Why do I need to decide at the studio whether or not I want to continue?

It's simple, really. As a production studio, our schedule is what we're selling, and we have to manage it carefully just like a store managing inventory. When we schedule a free studio shoot we're also setting aside time to work on your production and bring it to completion after the shoot. That way if you decide to continue with us we'll be able to turn your project around promptly. But if you decide that you don't want to continue, then we need to know that as soon as possible so we can reallocate that set-aside-time and make it available for other projects.

That's why we need that decision before you leave; because it determines our whole schedule and workflow, letting us run a tight ship with low prices. If we had clients sitting on the footage for a week or three and then finally getting back to us with a "Yes", then we'd never be able to run at full speed because we'd be open to interruptions and unexpected time crunches at a moment's notice (and that doesn't work well for clients or for SunPop).
