Can additional footage be added? Perhaps store footage?
To get some idea what a SunPop Video looks like with outside material added to the normal production, visit our samples page and click on the Castle Rock and Slash Video Insights.
We very rarely work with outside footage (called B-roll), weaving that into a SunPop Video alongside the in-studio footage of our conversational shoot; but we occasionally make exceptions. You'll notice that almost all of our sample videos feature just a plain white background, keeping the focus on the personal connection and the message. After years of examining various studies, and from our own extensive experience, we've found that this style of video suits the web environment particularly well.
It's a slippery slope once people start adding footage from inside their store, etc. It then seems more than reasonable to use some clips of smiling customers and employees doing business, and maybe throw in the company jingle, our slogan, and show the outside of the building and.....
You get the point. People surfing the web do not spend their time online seeking out traditional advertising content, and they don't want to watch a 3 minute TV ad on their computer. That's why you must provide them with something different, something real, something that doesn't feel like they're being slicked and sold. Hence, the unscripted shoot and the humble white background, with the focus on asking questions that customers would ask.
Obviously, if we make an exception and look at your B-roll and then conclude we can add it to a standard production, we'll have to charge for the additional work. The price varies widely, but you can probably expect several hundred dollars.
